IATF & ISO Certified Manufacturer
Catalus Corporation is registered to both the ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management Systems. To achieve the ISO 9001:2015 certification Catalus had to demonstrate and show evidence that we have the ability to provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Catalus also has to document that we work to enhance customer satisfaction by effectively applying the system in our day to day business operations.
IATF 16949:2016 is a Quality Management System developed by the International Automotive task Force (IATF) specifically for the automotive sector. The primary focus of the IATF 16949 standard is ensuring that the Quality Management System provides for continuous improvement, defect prevention, risk management, the reduction of variation and waste, and meeting all of our customer specific requirements. The IATF 16949:2016 standard is aligned with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
MPIF Test Methods Assurance Program
Checking a part dimensionally is a requirement. Being capable of checking the physical properties of a part is also necessary, but not metallurgical labs are equally capable. Being capable of checking the microstructure of a part and capture digital photos under magnification is a tool that not all Powder Metal companies have. The metallurgical lab at Catalus is a key part of our quality system. All new parts have a detailed analysis done. Certain parts have extra metallurgical checks built right into the control plan.
At Catalus, our lab is evaluated on a yearly basis by the Metal Powders Industry Federation as a part of their Test Methods Assurance Program. Our most recent TMAP certification can be found below.
