Some highlights of our R & D Center include 3D advanced manufacturing capabilities, simple stress analysis, a metallurgical lab, Autodesk Inventor, Esprit, 2D AutoCad and rapid prototyping.
The growth at Catalus comes from combining our experience in tool design and development, compacting, sizing/coining, sintering with the knowledge of what secondary advanced manufacturing capabilities are in our area. As one of the nation’s only world-class suppliers, we are able to construct complex powder metallurgy products you simply won’t find with other manufacturers while maintaining all the advantages powder metallurgy offers. With our IATF-16949 certification and the upcoming launch of our St. Marys facility, Catalus is poised to take powder metallurgy to a new level.
Manufacturing capabilities refer to the wide range of powder metal processes, equipment and resources available to produce products. When it comes to our manufacturing capabilities, our manufacturing facility in Galeton continues to push the limits of what can be accomplished with powder metal technology. Catalus produces parts for many different industries, and our exposure to a wide range of end uses allows us to take success stories from one market and apply that technology in other markets we serve. In order to fuel our growth and take us to the next level, we’ve dedicated a portion of our production facility for our research and development center. These facilities allow us to take full control of the metallurgical engineering process and deliver better advanced manufacturing solutions to our customers.
